As part of our ANZAC Day commemoration our students were able to see, first hand, the skills of the Lighthorse and the rider. Thank you to Mr Peter McLaughlin from the Mudgeeraba Light Horse Troop who gave a wonderful display of tentpegging and the skill of his light horse Fraser.
Another treat was the playing of the lament on the bagpipes by one of our parents, Mr Shane Gower. Mr Gower will feature in the dawn service at Currumbin as the lone piper on Elephant Rock. Thank you Mr Gower.
Mr Stuart Robert, Federal Member for Fadden, spoke to our students about the significance of ANZAC. Thank you Mr Robert.
Thanks so much to our P&C President Mr Brett Tanton who organised this event for our students, and to our school captains, Blake and Olivia, for their participation.

As part of the Q150 celebrations we would like to gather some history about our school. So much has happened since it opened in 1970. If you have any photographs, anecdotes or memorabilia we could use we would love to have a copy. Please contact our Head of Curriculum. |
